March 2017

Dear Fellow T-birds,

2017 is proving to be a fascinating year. And we move further into it, the winds of change could be affecting the way you conduct your business, manage your employees or plan for future.  From Brexit to the French elections to dealing with cyber security threats affecting your company, leaders rise above and are resilient. However, even natural born leaders need information to guide them effectively.

Today, more than ever the T-bird approach to the world is a unique advantage. Even though globalization works, it has to be reconciled with politics, which is being conducted on a local country level. Left and right is seemingly replaced with open-to-the-world or closed-to-the-world protectionist approaches.

Join us May 5-6 in Paris for the TIAA Spring Business Summit where we will explore the aforementioned subjects and go in-depth into conversations with the experts.

Terrorism and Immigration: Christopher Dickey, the Foreign Editor of The Daily Beast

Actions Speak Louder than Words: Dr. Connson Locke is Senior Lecturer in Practice at the London School of Economics (LSE)

Dancing with China Inc: Pierre Cohade, French executive in Chinese company

Cyber Security: Misha Glenny, award-winning writer and broadcaster specializing in Cyber Security, Global Organised Crime, the Balkans, Russia, Brazil

Brexit Implications Panel Discussion featuring:

  • Dr. Eloi Laurent, Senior Economist and Scientific Advisor at the French Economic Observatory (OFC)
  • Anand Menon, Director of King's College's, "The UK in a Changing Europe"
  • Colin Walsh, Chief Executive and founder of Crescent Capital NI Limited
