The lineup for ourFall Business Summit,which will be held in Panama Cityon September 22 and 23, isgetting more and more exciting!
 
As has been announced, we will have author and "arbonaut" (ortree explorer) Meg Lowman speaking about the parallelsbetween rainforest ecology and business ecosystems; Ilya Espino de Marotta,the engineer behind the recent expansion of the Panama canal, enlightening us about the incredible work and expertise that went into the project;and business acceleration expert Dana Green detailing the lessons learned from his involvement in 44 corporate acquisitions valued at over $8 billion.

TIAA in Panama: The Crossroads of Commerce
Cocktails in Honolulu with Merle A. Hinrich
 

You are invited to join TIAA's Founding Chairman, Merle A.Hinrich, class of '65, along withhis wife Miriam, for a special alumni evening aboard the yacht Double Haven in Honolulu's Kewalo Basin Marina.

The event will be held on Friday, July 21, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

Discussion will be light and fun as we reconnect with one another. Mr.Hinrich will also be able to provide an update on the development of TIAA as a source of alumni support and other issues relevant to the Thunderbird community.

Over the past three weeks, our team members, including Board Chairman Doug Deardorf '84 andExecutive Director Lenora Peppers Greene '02,havebeen thrilledto host a round ofTIAA Connect Lunches in Scottsdale, Charlotte, Atlanta (below, left), and Denver (below, right).

We organize these events in order to get to know T-birdsaround the world on a personal basis and discuss the ways TIAAcan grow and evolve to serve the alumni community as effectively as possible. Previous events have been held in Hong Kong, New York,London, San Francisco, Austin, Ho Chi Minh City, and many other locationsaround the globe.
