Panama, Panama, Panama!

OurFall Business Conference in Panama Cityis growing closer and closer, and we have even more reasons for you to sign upNOW!!!
First, an incentive!TIAA Volunteer and Lifetime MemberAlicia Engel, EMGM '16, and current student and TIAA summer internMaya Meng '17recently visited a Thunderbird Global Speaker Series event, and just so happened to win the door prize of aFree T-Bird Executive Online Program Certificate(a $4,500 value!!).Their problem:neither has time to use it! Resultantly, they have graciously offered to donate it to a Panama attendee!

Anybody whoregisters during the month of August(yes, including those of you whoalready have!) will be entered, and the lucky winner will be selected at random. We all likely have a subject that we could use a little brushing up on, and this could be your chance!

Second, in addition to havingIlya Espino de Marotta, the engineer behind the recent expansion of the Canal, lined up to speak, we are also finalizing the details of an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the inner workings of the Canal prior to Friday's openingreception.

Space will be limited, andavailable on a first-come, first-served basis. However, our registrants will be the very first to get a shot at signing up for the tour. The sooner you register, the greater your chances of getting a once-in-a-lifetime first-hand look at an engineering marvel and an essential driver of global commerce! What are you waiting for???

Let's go to Panama!!
Sign Up for our AugustWebinar andMaximize your Effectivity Working on Virtual Teams!
Being a member of a virtual team is the norm for many T-birds. If you connect with global colleagues from your office, your home, or your local coffee shop, you may struggle to communicate, collaborate, and get things done efficiently.

And, if you manage a virtual team, you have the added task of monitoring, motivating, and mentoring each team member with limited face-to-face contact.

Join T-bird Dan Jones '88 on Thursday, August 17, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. EDTfor this engaging and interactive webinar! You'll learn what to include in a virtual team charter, why you shouldnotsimply share information on an audio call, and how to make sure everyone participates in your web conferences.

Additionally, you'll find out how to build trust across distances, overcome language issues, and appear poised and professional whenwebcams are involved. You're sure to experience several "ah-ha" moments when you discover just how much better your virtual team can be.

If you struggle with any of these issues (and, as a T-bird, you likely do, have, or will), then this is one not to miss. Mark your calendars andcomplete your complimentary registration now!
